Delta Dental of Massachusetts Kicks Off Second Annual Summer of Smiles

Employees will pack and distribute more than 4,000 dental hygiene kits to local nonprofit organizations across the state.

BOSTON — July 11, 2024 — Delta Dental of Massachusetts (DDMA), the leading dental benefits administrator in the state, kicked off its second annual Summer of Smiles initiative, packing more than 4,000 oral hygiene kits for distribution to nonprofit organizations across Massachusetts. DDMA employee volunteers will identify local nonprofit organizations in their own communities to deliver dental hygiene kits.

The dental hygiene kits include a mesh bag filled with adult toothbrushes, floss, toothpaste, and an oral health care flier in English and Spanish. The kits will reach cities and towns across Massachusetts, including Cape Cod, the North Shore, Worcester, Western Massachusetts, and the Boston area.

During its inaugural year in 2023, the Summer of Smiles program delivered more than 2,400 dental hygiene kits to local nonprofits in over 22 cities and towns across the Commonwealth.
